A night of Courage and Loss

In February 2015, the volunteer crew of Scarborough Lifeboat station were called out to search and rescue Andrew McGeown, a popular local who had ended up in the sea, in weather conditions unmatched in their ferocity for decades. This film tells the heroic story of the three men who were recognised for the courageous efforts to save the life of Andrew, but a story that ultimately ends in tragedy. Filmed by our two in-house videographers.
