Marc Brown

Corporate Vice President, Corporate Development at Microsoft

Marc has been a member of Microsoft’s Corporate Development Group since joining the company in January 2000. Currently he is Corporate Vice President, Corporate Development overseeing Microsoft’s global M&A and strategic investment activities.

During his Microsoft tenure he has led over 150 transactions with greater than $50 billion in consideration. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Rapid7 Inc and was previously a board member of Perform Media Group plc.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Marc practiced corporate law at Goodwin, Proctor in Boston; was a high school teacher and coach at both Deerfield Academy and Phillips Academy Andover; and an investment banker at UBS in New York. He holds a JD degree from Georgetown University Law Center, an MBA in finance from New York University and a bachelor of arts in economics from Colgate University.
