Alice’s Legacy

Alice has been a midwife for 30 years and she has safely delivered thousands of babies. Many of the grateful parents have a very special way of thanking her…

That’s why there are now over 800 children called Alice, named in her honour!

Alice’s legacy is extraordinary, and something that Save the Children hopes will inspire their supporters to consider leaving a legacy of their own.

Last year, gifts in wills contributed over £20 million to Save the Children’s funding – that’s 13p of every £1 donated by supporters. It allows Save the Children to continue saving children and changing futures, around the world and in the UK.

Alice says “The most important part of my legacy is when the baby is born… It’s my gift to the next generation. I’ve given in love and I’ve given in name.”

Save the Children would like viewers to consider their gift to the next generation. The TV ad encourages viewers to visit the website or call for more information. Viewers are then directed to a free will-writing guide, which provides information on how to write a child’s smile into their will and make a life-changing legacy of their own.
