Improving life after brain injury

Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury.

The effects can be devastating and last a lifetime. It can affect everything you do, think and feel, changing relationships and futures in an instant.

But at Headway, we know that with the right help, at the right time, there can be life after brain injury.

Improving life after brain injury features the personal experiences of two families whose lives have been transformed by brain injury. With honesty and emotion, a wife and a daughter separately share their journeys from being told to prepare for their husband and mother respectively to not survive, through to gradually adapting to life after brain injury today - with their loved ones beside them.

A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, Headway is here to help.

Through this film, we aim to ensure more people are aware of the support available so that no one has to suffer in silence.
