Macmillan Free Wills Month DRTV

Being told ‘you have cancer’ can affect so much more than your health – it can also affect your family, your job, even your ability to pay the bills. But you’re still you. We get that. And, after over 100 years of helping people through cancer, we get what’s most important: that you’re treated as a person, not just a patient.

Over a third of Macmillan's income comes from gifts in wills, and in addition to running a successful discounted will writing service, we decided to offer supporters a chance to write their will for free for the first time in January 2018. The film we created shows how the smallest things can make the biggest difference to someone living with cancer.

The ad inspired thousands of supporters to register for their free will. And through the kindness of those people deciding to leave a gift in their will to Macmillan, the campaign will raise millions of pounds in the future, enabling Macmillan to continue to be there for people living with cancer, to help them find their best way through.
