Stars was a key aspect of the RSPCA's Christmas campaign - Kindness at Christmas. By following the story of Woody, the Christmas puppy this cute, tear-jerking film aims to highlight the kindness of the staff working at the RSPCA as they all contribute to saving animals' lives. Woody represents all the animals that the RSPCA cares for, from exotic pets, horses and small animals to dogs, cats, rabbits and everything in between. Woody is cruelly abandoned and thrown away like a piece of rubbish, something the RSPCA has to deal with far too often.

We chose to use a toy dog in place of a real one to really highlight how some people treat their pets, literally as a piece of rubbish to be thrown away without a second thought. We were also lucky enough to have a brilliant cover of a Simply Red song to go along with it, which fits perfectly and was available to download as a charity single when the film launched.

The film was hugely popular and gained over 5 million views across various social media platforms, attracting attention from lots of high profile celebrities and even gaining the approval of John Lewis’ Moz the monster!
