Imagine a rollercoaster ride where every turn and loop brings you closer to death. There’s no way to get off.

For Luke, everything changed at his 38th birthday party. The terrifying journey that followed reflects the devastating impact of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Just two years later Luke is confined to a wheelchair, robbed of the ability to walk, move and communicate. He can’t open his daughter’s present. He can’t enjoy a beer with his friends. He can’t even thank them for being there.

MND affects around 5,000 people in the UK. For those people and their families, life will never be the same again. Birthdays, holidays, just taking the kids to school; everything changes. It is a merciless disease that robs people of the ability to move, speak and eventually breathe. 

Raising awareness of the disease is one of our biggest challenges. We didn’t want to shock. We wanted to be bold. We wanted to achieve the right mix of emotion and awareness to motivate people to take action, be it sharing the video, fundraising, volunteering or campaigning. 

6 people will be diagnosed with MND today. We need to find a cure.  

We need to #TakeOverMND.
